Are you passionate about empowering youth and transforming education? AI Kids Peru is seeking 3 visionary leaders to join our Board of Directors and help shape the future of education in Peru.
🌟 About the Role
As a board member, you will play a pivotal role in providing strategic direction, supporting fundraising efforts, and acting as an ambassador for AI Kids Peru. Your leadership will directly impact our mission to teach AI literacy and computational thinking to kids and teens in Peru.
Responsibilities
Governance: Oversee the organization’s mission, vision, and strategic goals.
Fundraising: Support financial sustainability by leveraging networks and resources.
Advocacy: Act as an ambassador to promote AI Kids Peru locally and globally.
Oversight: Ensure the organization’s programs align with its goals and budget.
Term and Time Commitment
Term: 2 years with the opportunity for renewal.
Meetings: Quarterly virtual meetings and one annual in-person meeting.
Time Commitment: 5–8 hours per month, including meetings and preparation.
Financial Commitment
Board members are encouraged to contribute or help secure donations to support AI Kids Peru’s programs.
Qualifications
We are looking for individuals with:
✔️ Experience in education, AI, EdTech, or nonprofit leadership.
✔️ Skills in fundraising, business development, or strategic planning.
✔️ A strong network and a passion for education and youth empowerment.
Location
Virtual meetings via Zoom.
In-person annual meeting location TBD (Peru or the U.S.).
