Treasurer (Volunteer)
Compensation
Uncompensated, volunteer position. Expenses are reimbursable.
Organizational Context
HUES is a digital-first organization in an infant stage of growth. Our mission focuses on health equity for women at the intersections of identity. Directors work collaboratively with the Founding Executive Director (FED) to advise the organization on financial strategy and compliance.
Primary Responsibility
To oversee the financial health of the Institute, applying fiscal rigor and hard work to ensure resources are managed transparently and allocated to maximize inclusive impact.
Required Qualifications
- CPA certification, CFO, or Senior Accounting background (required).
- Expertise in non-profit accounting and IRS compliance for 501(c)(3) and 501(c)(4) rules.
- Experience in setting up or maturing the financial infrastructure of a new organization.
Core Skills
Hard work and precision in financial oversight; Empathy in translating complex financial data for the full board.
Time Commitment
Approx. 8-10 working hours per month.
