We wish to diversify and energize our board by adding members who may be younger professionals, people of color, and/or representing fields such as healthcare, law, real estate, military service, property management, insurance, organizational development, or education. Board terms run three years although we do not limit extended service. We are based in Escondido and meet nine times annually for two hours each (typically the last Monday of the month); meetings are occasionally virtual or at our other two offices, Vista or Fallbrook. We ask that Board members support the agency financially at the level they are able, and that board members act as ambassadors for PFCS in their own networks and communities. PFCS largely serves North County (specifically Escondido, Vista, Oceanside, Valley Center, Fallbrook, and San Marcos) and we especially value board members who belong to and know these communities.
