We are mobile nonprofit with a mission to provide equity in access to services by providing the community with basic yet essential resources and support. Because we provide the basics, families can then focus on navigating challenges and meeting goals for self sustainment.
We are seeking board members with fundraising, goverance, finance and/or accounting experience to provide support to our young, fast growing nonprofit. This is an exciting opportunity to be a part of the change from the beginning.
As a working board, commitment and responsibilities will include:
*Attend monthly board meetings and any specially set meetings and/or workshops, trainings (Expected to attend 75% of board specific meetings, trainings and/or workshops)
*Provide effective and strategic leadership and teamwork
*Stay informed about the organization, its programs and impact on the community
*Be an ambassador for the organization and network about The R3SC and its programs
*Volunteer and assist with execution of The R3SC programs and invite their family, friends, and colleagues
*Assist with fundraising in one or more of the following ways:
*Identify or introduce new donors and funding sources to The R3SC
*Commit to secure and/or contribute funds to sustain the organization. $1k give/get min through a combination of:
*Direct financial giving
*Identifying and writing grants
*Soliciting planned giving
*Making year-end asks
*Support for fundraising endeavors
*Supporting the Executive Director in development efforts
*Identifying and courting donors, sponsors, and underwriters
*Providing in kind donations to support programs
