To conserve viable populations of endangered African Wild Dogs and other large carnivores in Zimbabwe, through research, hands-on conservation, education, community engagement and policy dialogue.

With only 650 packs of African Wild Dogs remaining, the African Wildlife Conservation Fund (AWCF) works at the frontlines of their survival.

For 20 years, we have maintained “boots on the ground” in Zimbabwe, focusing on a holistic ecosystem approach that integrates Research & Conservation, Community Education, and Livelihood Support.

We are currently seeking three visionary, philanthropic leaders to join our US-based 501(c)(3) Board of Directors to drive our next phase of strategic growth.

Residency Requirement: To fulfill the fiduciary and regulatory obligations of our US 501(c)(3) entity, all applicants must be currently based in the United States.

Every AWCF US Board Member is expected to champion the organization through:
Fiduciary Governance: Ensuring compliance with US nonprofit regulations.
Active Fundraising: Leveraging personal networks to introduce new strategic partners.
Proven Philanthropy: Candidates must demonstrate a track record of board experience and make a meaningful personal financial contribution to the organisation annually.
