Birthline of San Diego County is looking for two year term board members to serve in:

1. Finance
2. Marketing
3. Development
4. HR 
5. Operations
6.  Legal
7. Legacy/Endowments

Expectations of Birthline Board of Directors

Attendance

• Our monthly Board meetings are currently held on the third Tuesday of the month at 4:00 pm either on Zoom or at Birthline. We ask that directors have no more than 3 absences a year.
• Attendance and support of any Birthline fundraisers.
  • Example: ‘Love Another Mother,’ our half-day event held in May.
• Support could be in the form of volunteerism, underwriting, and/or a general donation of food, and/or supplies.
  • At your discretion and as a way to learn more about the organization, volunteer time at Birthline during operational hours as you are able.

Financial Support

• Board members are required to participate in the Annual Appeal and/or as a Monthly Donor.
• Board members are required to contribute with a ‘give or get’ philosophy of donated time, talent or treasure of $3,000 minimum annually.

Spread the Word

• Board members are required to be willing to share and introduce Birthline’s mission with colleagues and friends.
• Board members are asked to introduce Birthline to three/four friends a year with easy site tours, which typically take 30 minutes and some limited coordination and follow up.

Join a Committee

• Board members are asked to give their talents, join an operational committee/team to provide oversight and talent: financial, marketing development, HR, future real estate or operations.
