Position Summary
The Board of Directors provides governance, leadership, oversight, and strategic direction for the organization. Board members work collectively to advance the nonprofit’s mission, ensure responsible stewardship of resources, support organizational sustainability, and serve as ambassadors within the community.
Board members are expected to actively participate in the work of the Board and contribute their time, expertise, connections, and resources to help the organization achieve its goals.

Board of Directors election process:
– By September 30, 2026: Send a 200 word or less email with a ‘why rock camp’ statement, an attached resume and references to rockcampforgirlsSD@gmail.com
– October: We will then schedule a brief interview based on your availability
– November 14: Nominations and voting occur
– November 16: Board member announcements – we will contact you.
– January 1, 2027: Your Board position begins – yay!
