About Us
Vantage Point Inc. is a Carlsbad-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit and approved vendor of the California Department of Rehabilitation. Since 2020, we’ve helped hundreds of adults with disabilities find and sustain meaningful, competitive employment across San Diego County and beyond, through one-on-one Job Developer support, resume and interview coaching, and long-term retention services.

As we continue to grow, we’re seeking passionate, thoughtful, and engaged individuals to join our Board of Directors. This is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact while helping guide our strategic direction and sustainability.

Who We’re Looking For
We’re especially interested in candidates with legal expertise, but welcome individuals from diverse professional and personal backgrounds who are aligned with our mission. Ideal candidates may bring experience in:

• Nonprofit leadership or governance
• Workforce development, education, or disability services
• Business development, marketing, or fundraising
• Finance, operations, or legal expertise
• Community engagement or advocacy

Most importantly, we’re looking for people who are passionate about expanding access to employment and opportunities for people with disabilities.

Responsibilities

• Providing strategic guidance and oversight to support organizational growth
• Serving as an ambassador for the organization within the community
• Supporting fundraising and community engagement efforts
• Participating in board discussions and decision-making
• Serving on at least one committee, as needed

Commitment

• Quarterly board meetings (2–3 hours each)
• Attendance at a minimum of 75% of scheduled meetings
• Participation in occasional committee meetings or special initiatives
• A 2-year term, with the option to renew once
